What inspired me to do my anti-bullying series was a clip from The Week news magazine about the suicide of Jamie Hubley, 15, who was bullied in school for being the unicorn that he was. I received the Seattle City Grants for the installations and took the work to several middle schools in 2010, where we discussed the art and how it related to bullying. This was the most moving experience I have ever had.
