How it works:

What I will need: A clear photo or two of your pet along with any preferences you might have for the background/setting. The background can be just about anything, such as an outdoor scene, indoor scene, or flat colored. If you have a specific scene in mind (a favorite park or beach you take the pet to) it can be incorporated. If you'd like the painting for a special day (birthday, etc.) let me know & I'll do my best to accommodate!
Payment: Typically before beginning a painting, I ask for a deposit of 50% of the cost. The second half and shipping cost will be due upon completion of the portrait. I accept credit cards, checks & cash for payments. NOTE: If you purchase this service through my shop, you will be paying for the portrait in full (shipping is not included).
How it works: Shortly after receiving your photo/s, and color/background preferences & payment, I will create a basic preliminary sketch of the layout for the portrait, which I will email to you for viewing. Upon approval of the sketch, the painting process will begin!
The normal turn-around time is 3-4 weeks, depending on the season. When the painting is just about finished, I'll email you a digital photo for viewing & requesting any changes. I don't charge additional fees for small changes. My goal is to create a portrait you love and changes are a part of the process.
Once the painting is approved by you & you completely love it!, two coats of protective glossy varnish coating will be applied. The varnish takes approximately 2-3 days to dry. The painting will then be carefully packaged and shipped. A truly meaningful gift for a friend, family member or yourself.
